15 Beauty Hacks That Will Change your Life Forever

Today is the day your beauty game will be changed forever.  

The following beauty hacks have been tried and tested by me and they are the real deal. They have all worked for me every time I use them and I wanted to share them with you all.

1. Don't have a contour brush? 

Don't panic! All you'll need is your powder brush and a bobby pin. Pinch the bristles of your powder brush together and secure the shape of it with a bobby pin. And there you have the perfect shape contour brush in an instant!

2. Ran out of loose powder? 

A perfect alternative for loose powder is... Baby powder! It works perfectly at locking in your makeup and doesn't flashback. And it's a lot cheaper than buying a high end loose face powder!

3. Sick of ruining your eye makeup while applying mascara?

Place a spoon over your eye just on your lash line while applying mascara and it will save your eye makeup from being ruined.

4. Make your perfume smell fresh all day.

Applying your perfume to the back of the ears, the base of the throat, the inside of the wrists, the inside of the elbows and behind the knees will release a burst of fragrance every time you move those joints. You can also apply some vaseline to those areas to make your scent last even longer. 

5. Make your eyelashes thicker

Before applying mascara, dip a spoolie into some loose powder and apply to your lashes. After applying the powder, apply a coat of mascara and your lashes will appear twice as thick as they would without the powder.

6. Heated eyelash curler??

Before curling your lashes, hold a blow dryer over the eyelash curler for 30 seconds and then curl your lashes. The curl will hold for longer and your lashes will look super curled.

7. Make your lipstick last all night

Firstly apply your lip liner and lipstick then cover your lips with a tissue and apply a thin layer of translucent powder over the tissue then remove the tisuue and apply another layer of lipstick. And voila, you have lipstick that will last all night!

8. Smooth, summer legs

For perfect smooth summer legs, there are four steps. First, shave your legs as normal, then scrub your legs with a mixture of sugar and olive oil, shave your legs again and then after you dry your legs apply a thick layer of moisturizer. These steps will leave your legs feeling smooth and looking glowy.

 9. Stop creasing

The most common areas for creasing on the face is under the eyes and in the laugh lines. To stop this annoying makeup mishap, apply a pore filling primer to those areas and it will fill in the fine lines and wrinkles to make a smooth application for your foundation to go on top and stop the foundation settling into those lines.

10. Fallout on top of your foundation?

Grab some sticky tape and press it lightly over the fallout and it will pick up all that excess glitter or shadow without taking off all your foundation underneath.

11. Make clumpy mascara smooth again

Before applying your mascara, store it in a warm place for about 15 minutes. For example, when starting your makeup place your mascara in your bra or between your thighs to 'melt' the clumps out of it and when you take it out, your mascara will apply more smoothly.

12. Dried up pencil liner?

When you go to add some black eyeliner to your look and it's almost impossible to get some colour payoff from it, grab a match and hold the pencil above the match for about 3 seconds and let it cool for 15 seconds. This will transform your kohl pencil into a gel eye liner by softening the product making it easier to apply. 

13. Spotlessly clean beauty blender

All you'll need is a dirty beauty blender, a bar of soap and warm water. Wet your beauty blender with some warm water and begin rubbing the dirty areas on the bar of soap while pushing out the dirty product out of the sponge. Continue repeating these steps until there is no more dirty product coming out. Leave to dry and it will be good as new!

14. No more orange fake tan hands!

When applying self tanner its quite easy to get it over the palms of your hands making it look fake when we want it looking natural. To remove this, all you have to do is after applying your tan, scrub the palms of your hands with an exfoliator and remove it with a makeup wipe, NOT water (because that will remove your tan).

15. Using ice for a perfect makeup application?

Before applying any makeup, rub an ice cube all over your face - this will close pores, making your foundation apply smoother, sooth any pimples, making them less red and it will also leave your skin glowing.
